SOCA MULTIOBS : Global Ocean 3D Chlorophyll-a concentration, Particulate Backscattering coefficient and Particulate Organic Carbon.
This product consists of 3D fields of Particulate Organic Carbon (POC), Particulate Backscattering coefficient (bbp) and Chlorophyll-a concentration (Chl a) at depth. The reprocessed product is provided at 1/4° × 1/4° horizontal resolution, over 36 levels from the surface to 1000 m depth. A neural network method estimates both the vertical distribution of Chl a concentration and of particulate backscattering coefficient (bbp), a bio-optical proxy for POC, from merged surface ocean color satellite measurements with hydrological properties and additional relevant drivers.
